This awesome plaque type sign was commissioned by Cleveland Metroparks as part of a larger sign package that included some smaller directional signs and printed interpretive signs illustrating the history of the bridge. This was all created in house by their design staff.
The finish on this sign is a remarkable new product that is vandal proof and will never need to be painted or refinished - only cleaned occasionally
LuminOre is an innovative composite metallizing finish. This patented cold-sprayable process allows a layer of metal to applied over almost any surface. The result is like hot-cast metal, only lighter and less expensive.
The base sign was carved on our CNC router into a 30 lb. sign foam from files created in Art Cam 3D modeling software. We combined vector art with a pin scan of models of the bridge and train. The sign was made in sections and assembled prior to metallization.
