John Carroll University wanted a campus wayfinding system that would reflect the dignity and integrity of their institution, and be made to last for many years.
We at Akers are proud to say that we met this challenge head on, and this sign system was manufactured to standards that 90% of sign companies would shy away from.
These signs are fabricated with a custom extrusion which was rolled to make the curved peaks. The faces are routed aluminum with acrylic push through letters. The aluminum pole mounted signs are all illuminated and the logo at the top is cast. The campus sign faces are UV digital prints from our Zund flat bed printer to insure durability. All the finishing - grinding of the welds, the sanding and painting - is "furniture" quality.
Each of these 62 signs was carefully inspected before installation by us and the customer to insure the customer's satisfaction.
